Information You Choose to Send
Terms Entered in Search Tools
A name, location, or other term entered into a search tool is transmitted to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Kemper County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider receives and handles the query under its own privacy practices, so visitors should review those practices before submitting information.
Messages Sent to Us
If a visitor sends an email or uses a contact form, the message and supplied contact details are retained as needed to read and answer the request. Those submissions are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law. Sensitive facts about a person in custody should instead be sent through the secure method identified by the government office holding the record. The Kemper County Sheriff also warns that its ordinary contact form is not secure for confidential information and is not monitored around the clock.
Technical Information Collected Automatically
Standard technical records may be created when a page loads. These details help deliver pages, understand traffic, and diagnose failures. They can include:
- The visitor’s Internet Protocol address
- The browser name and version
- The device category and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring website, when one is available
- The date and time of the request
Cookies and Browser Controls
Cookies may be used to understand how visitors move through the site and to support features. A browser can reject or remove cookies through its settings. Blocking them may cause some functions, preferences, advertising, or measurements to behave differently.
How Collected Information Is Used
Information collected through normal operation is used for limited site and service purposes:
- Keeping pages available, responsive, and reliable
- Sending search requests to the selected partner service
- Learning which Kemper County record pages visitors find useful
- Finding, investigating, and correcting technical problems
- Displaying advertising that may reflect general visitor interests
Privacy Beyond This Website
Links may lead to the Kemper County Sheriff, Mississippi Department of Corrections, MS SAVIN, courts, federal locators, public-record portals, and third-party search services. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination’s privacy policy and technical practices govern. Kemper County Released Inmates does not control how an outside office or provider collects, retains, shares, or secures data.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to recognize activity across multiple websites and tailor advertisements. That cross-site tracking occurs through the partner’s technology, not through a separate personal-record file maintained by Kemper County Released Inmates.
Parties That May Receive Data
Personal information is not sold. Depending on the visitor’s action and the services used to operate the site, limited information may be available to:
- Search partners that process a query submitted to their tool
- Analytics providers that measure site use and performance
- Advertising networks that deliver and assess advertisements
- Law enforcement or another government body acting under a valid legal order
Reasonable Data Safeguards
Standard administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect information under the site’s control. No Internet transmission, connected service, or storage method can be guaranteed fully secure. The site therefore cannot promise that data will never be intercepted, lost, altered, or accessed without permission.
Visitors Younger Than Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or legal guardian who believes a minor submitted personal data may use the Contacts page to request review and deletion.
Choices About Personal Data
Subject to applicable law and the limits of the site’s systems, a person may ask to:
- Receive a copy of personal information held about that person
- Correct inaccurate personal information in the site’s possession
- Delete personal information retained by the site
- Opt out of certain forms of processing where that choice applies
These requests concern data controlled by Kemper County Released Inmates. They do not alter a sheriff roster, MDOC record, court file, public record, or a third party’s database. A correction to an official record must be directed to the government custodian that maintains it.
Changes to This Privacy Notice
This notice may be revised as the site, vendors, or legal requirements change. An updated version takes effect when posted here and will carry a revised effective date.
